Today we arrived at Big Pine Key, just 33 miles north of Key West where we stayed for two days at Encore RV Park. After we dropped Taylor in his paradise spot, we drove to Key West.
Key West is a very popular place for spring break. Thank goodness we arrived just at the end of spring break. After walking the town, we discovered there are more bars than there are restaurants and shops.

Since it was so late in the day and we were not going to come back to Key West, we decided to take a ride out on a sea rocket with our tour guide Jay. Jay told us almost everything about Key West in 30 minutes.

After our ride we did some shopping and more walking around the town. We also went to the southernmost point of the Key as we thought it was.
But we learned from Jay that the southernmost end of the key is Fort Zachary U.S. Naval Reservation, who expanded the key with fill and is now the southernmost point. Check out the Naval Station in the background of this photo.
