April 13, 2006 - Savannah, GA

Today we did the on and off trolley and walked several squares of Savannah. We also visited the river walk, which is still an active seaport. Across the river is the convention center and Westin Hotel. We are not sure of the name of the golf course on the other side of the river, but it is home to Legends of Golf tournament, which is held in the later part of April.

The bench scene from Forrest Gump, was filmed in Savannah at Chippewa Square. The bench is not actually there, it was a prop created by Hollywood. They made replica of the bench and placed it in the Savannah museum.
