March 16, 2006 - Old Mesilla

John (Sherri’s Husband) told us his favorite town to visit in the area was Mesilla, ("Little Tableland"). The town was only 1/2mile from our RV Park. He recommended a couple of restaurants (El Patio & La Posta), in Mesilla. We opted for La Posta de Mesilla Restaurant, Cantina & Chile Shop. Very nice atmosphere, excellent service, food was OK, my drink was great, I had a great margarita and John had a non-alcoholic beer. It was getting dark quick, so we walked around this historical town and took pictures. This is a MUST see town if you happen to come through Las Cruces.
