March 15, 2006 - Superstition Mtn. - Safeway LPGA Classic

This morning we left for Superstition Mountain to watch the LPGA Safeway Classic. The drive was about an hour from Dave and Janette’s home in Goodyear. The weather was picture perfect. The Superstition Mountain, just east of Apache Junction Arizona which sits next to Mesa and viewable from nearby Phoenix, has long been the subject of interesting stories, mystery, Indian lore and tales of lost treasures of gold. Most are true, some are myths and others no doubt embellished through generations. But for sure, the entire Superstition Mountain Wilderness Area offers commanding experiences.

This was my first LPGA Tournament and was very excited. I brought my Scotty Cameron cap and sharpie. Had a great time getting Autographs and John taken photo’s of me with the players.

This ends our last full day with the Anderson's. We would like to thank Janette and Dave for welcoming us into their home and we hope to see them in Hawaii in September.
