Noon – We are in Benson, AZ. at “The Thing?” to refuel. Kinda reminds me of Casa de Fruta in its heyday. Billboard advertisements are plentiful for miles. We refueled before we started climbing the “Railroad Pass” which is 4123’ in elevation.
1:20pm - We are now in
WOOHOO!!!
Wow, where did all the mountains go? I noticed right away in could see further in the distance with no distraction.

There are signs along the highway cautioning us of “Dust Storms”. Ugh…we must be getting close to Texas. Speaking of Texas, I’m getting bored….ok than, let me call our friends John and Sherri who live in Texas. Since we are headed for Las Cruces, and Sherri’s sister (Kristi) use to live there, I thought I would get some local info. John (Sherri’s Husband), called Kristi and called me back with some great info. He provided us info for a couple RV Parks, a historic town to visit and some restaurants. We took him up on ALL his suggestions.
